Oriental  Medicine

Ancient Oriental medicine has been in use over 4500 years. Today, it is the oldest continually practiced professional medicine in the world. Oriental medicine has a unique perception of the body, health and disease. Every patient is evaluated for the strength and quality of the Qi and blood in their body. Qi (vitality) is a fundamental concept which is best explained by it functions:

[ Warms the body

[  Controls all movement within the body

[  Raises and holds internal substances and organs in position

The physician combines all relevant patient information and symptoms, forming a “pattern of disharmony” profile. A treatment plan is formulated to harmonize the patient’s entire body and bring it back into a healthy balance.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture needles are very flexible and are the diameter of a human hair. They are inserted shallowly into the acupuncture points on the body.

In Oriental medicine, each point is on a channel or meridian. These meridians are pathways that carry Qi and blood throughout the entire body. They comprise a highly complex invisible network that links together all substances and organs.

Electro Meridian Imaging ( EMI )

Contemporary acupuncture diagnosis and meridian evaluation system. Through modern technology, the Qi in each meridian can be measured and graphed. Progress can then be charted, compared and printed out for the patient.
